Activities
We try to schedule our activities to meet 2-3 times a week but you are not obligated to attend anything. You can be as involved as much or as little as you want. The MOMS Club also sponsors Activity Groups for members with common interests. These can change as members interest change and we encourage you to bring up your ideas at the monthly business meeting or talk to a board member with any suggestions you may have. Mom's Night Out Every month there is a Mom's Night Out. Mom�s night out can be anything from meeting at a local restaurant, movie theater, member�s house or local event. Anyone can host a Mom's Night Out. This is a great opportunity to get to know the other mothers in the club and take a small break for yourself. Crafts A small portion of your monthly dues are set aside for our craft budget. Anyone can host a craft event and it doesn�t need to take place at the host�s house if they don�t wish it too. If you wish to host the monthly craft, contact the Craft Coordinator in time to get it on the next months calendar. Field Trips In addition to the various outings and get-togethers, we have field trips as well. Ideas for field trips are always appreciated. Some ideas for some field trips would be a visit to the Firefighter Museum, Benson Grist Mill, tours of businesses etc. Anyone can host these events as well. Hosting just means that you make the arrangements with the owners/operators of the venue, remind members of the event a few days before, and show up to the event early to greet the other members who have RSVPed. |
