Activities As a member, you will receive a monthly newsletter with a calendar of scheduled events. We like to think of our calendar as a resource. You are free to participate in as many or as few outings a month as you desire. Casual get-togethers in parks and members' homes Low/no cost outings for mothers and children. Some examples include the beach, zoo, museums, mall free shows, concerts in the park, picnics, storytime, seasonal festivals, pony/train rides, Easter Egg Hunt, nature walks, Under the Sea, California Science Center, Natural History Museum, Leonis Adobe Tour, etc. Playgroups The Empty Nesters (moms with kids in school/none at home get together once a month for breakfast/brunch/coffee/some fun Meals For Moms - for the new moms and their families Activity groups like monthly Mom's Night Out with arts and crafts, scrapping, cooking.... Family parties around the holidays or just for fun throughout the year! Service projects benefiting children in the community. Groups have helped abused, neglected and underprivileged children, as well as schools, libraries and food pantries with a wide variety of projects that are fun and worthwhile! Celebrate children's birthdays the 1st Tuesday of every month at our park get-together As various interests are expressed -- we will be having lectures with featured guest speakers such as a Child Psychologist, Kidsafe seminar, and CPR training.
