Every year our chapter chooses a service project to work on as a group. Below is the information on our current service project as well as projects from our previous two. We have always had a wonderful experience serving those in our community who are in need. If you are interested in participating, please contact our chapter’s AVP at [email protected]
Service Project 2008
Storehouse West in Rio Rancho, NM
www.storehousewest.org

We are excited to adopt a family through Storehouse West for our Service Project this year! We will be able to adopt a family by the middle of October 2008. Our members can donate as much as they would like and then we will use our fund-raising money to complete the items our family needs and wants over the holidays. Storehouse West is a non-profit tax-exempt volunteer-staffed corporation that is community-supported.

Service Project 2007
Project Backpack/ Maggie Cordova Elementary

In 2007 we had an awesome amount of support for our Service Project. We chose to support Project Backpack, which helps provide kids with a special backpack for healthy non-perishable snacks for the weekend. We had several donations from our MOMS Club® members. It was a huge success.

Service Project 2006
Ronald McDonald House in Albuquerque, NM
www.rmhc-nm.org/about/mission.php

Ronald McDonald House charities provides a place for families to stay while their child is being cared for at an Albuquerque medical facility. MOMS Club® of Rio Rancho south members donated their time and food to the families staying at the Ronald McDonald House. We had several moms that came out to help cook two times for the families. We had a great time helping one another for the benefit of others.
