| Sunshine Club - This group spreads a "little sunshine" throughout our chapter by sending out birthday cards or "just thinking of you" cards to our moms. They also coordinate weeks worth of dinners upon the birth of a new baby to help out the mom and family. Service Projects - These projects are voted on by our members and are focused on helping the local community. Over the past few years our group has participated in the following service projects: * Adopting a family at Christmas. Over the past few years, the family chosen has been one with a young child diagnosed with cancer. * Donations made to a local crisis pregnancy home. Which include diapers, wipes, clothes for the babies, as well as some special things for the moms. * A School Supply drive where our members donated school supplies to a local school to help those students in need. * Each year we participate in the UNICEF Trick-or-Treat fund drive. * A Fall Garage sale where members donate items for sale, with a percentage going towards our service projects. * Shoebox Ministry where each playgroup fills at least one shoebox that is donated to a local church and then shipped to a country in need of supplies. *A donation to the Mom-to-Mom Fund. This is a MOMS Club International charity that helps those members most in need. |
