We are working on this year's service project. Our goal is to involve the children in charitable acts. It is important that we teach our young children empathy for others and teach them about doing good deeds for those less fortunate. Examples of past service projects include:
* Visiting a local retirement home on a regular basis,
* Collecting baby blankets for the crisis pregnancy shelter,
* Collecting blankets and towels for local animal shelters,
* Recycling drives,
* Canned food drives,
* Collecting clothing and household goods for a local church,
* Monetary donations to various charities.
Members also volunteer to participate in our Helping Hands program, by reaching out to help fellow members during times of happiness, like births of new babies, and in times of grief or hardship.
