PLAYGROUPS
We currently have several active playgroups which get together every other week to play at member houses or other places. Each group usually has 3-6 moms plus their children. Our playgroups are set up by the ages of the primary children involved, ranging from babies to 5 years old. Siblings are always welcomed. The dates, times and locations are determined by the group after the intiial day of the week and morning vs. afternoon are determined. If a mom is interested in joining a playgroup, the playgroup coordinator will check for an existing playgroup with similar aged kids and available room or work to establish a new playgroup with other interested moms on a day that works best for all. This is a great way to meet other moms with kids the same age, on the same schedule and in your neighborhood!
What's neat about the Cooking Club, is that it's not just moms and kids that are involved. This club is for the entire family! Each family in the Cooking Club hosts a gathering, either at their home or a place of their chosing. There is a theme and each Cooking Club member that attends brings food to share to go along with the theme. It's a great way to try new food and share recipes. It's also a great way for that dads to meet.
MOMS HELPING MOMS
When ever there is a mom in need, our club steps in to help out. Whether it be a new baby, a loss, an injury, or just a tough time, we moms ban together to help out. Typically, we take turns helping out by babysitting or bringing the family a meal or two - or whatever the family would like. This is a wonderful way to help out a fellow member during a time of need
BOOK CLUB
Each month, the Book Club coordinator will select a book for those who are involved in the club. You will typically get the entire month (or more) to read the selection and then meet to discuss.
BABYSITTING CO-OP
The Babysitting Co-op meets bi-monthly at a members house so you get a chance to meet the moms and view the homes. These meetings are also a nice way for the moms to build friendships and see how well the children interact with one another. If you decide to join the babysitting co-op, you can contact another member within the co-op when you need someone to sit with your child, typically at their home. The points traded are pre-set within the Club guidelines, depending on the number of children and time/day of week.
MASONIC HOMES VOLUNTEERS
Once a month, our moms and their children pack up a few toys and meet at a nursing home facility to volunteer. It's a wonderfully rewarding bit of community service that gives so much joy to the residents at the home. We are usually there from 45-60 minutes, and the children usually just play together, while the residents watch them. It is an easy thing that we can do to put a smile on someone's face.
MOMS NIGHT OUT
Every month we try to get together one night to get out and enjoy ourselves. We've really enjoyed going to the movies, out to eat at a restaurant or even to a campfire at members' houses.
This is a great way to get a break from the daily routine and to get to know other moms in the club without the kids around. Of course, children are allowed at all MOMS Club� functions.
SCRAPBOOKING CLUB
All of us have a ton of pictures of our precious little ones. The scrapbooking club is a chance to show them off. Whether you're a beginnger or a veteran scrapbooker, it's fun to get together and see others photos and get ideas. The scrapbooking club meets once per month, either at someone's home or at a different location. It's a good way to get updated on your photo or scrap books.
SPECIAL EVENTS
Every month our club tries to have one really fun event to look forward to, such as a potluck gathering in the park, a holiday party, a get-together for crafts, a garage sale, an open house, and so on. Sometimes it's not easy to go to several MOMS Club� activities, so we do our best to have one fun thing that everyone can attend and enjoy.
