You know, Spring is my favorite time of the year. It is a time of rebirth!! Tiny bulbs that have lain dormant in the ground suddenly burst up through the warm soil. My little bird house becomes occupied by tiny blue birds making a nest and raising a family. The roses, my lovely yellow roses, bud and bloom. All these things a constant reminder of the gifts from God!!

So many times in my search for God, I expected miracles like the parting of the Red Sea or water turned into blood!! It took a sinner's prayer and the blood of Jesus to remove the blinders from my eyes. Suddenly, even the tiny drop of dew on my beautiful yellow roses was a miracle. You often hear "stop and smell the roses" but how many of us really understand what that means? For me, it means to stop looking for the big miracles of biblical times and take a closer look around me!! The changing of the seasons, the birth of a baby and the gift of a new friend!!
It's so easy to think God does not exist or that he has turned away from us when we are going through troubled times. God is always there, it is us that turn from him, sometimes in anger, sometimes in frustration, when things don't go our way!! I think, besides His word, the poem, "Footprints In The Sand" expesses this so beautifully!! So when you feel alone, or in doubt, sit quietly and feel His loving arms around you!! I need reminders from time to time myself, and God sends me beautiful yellow roses!!

The Trial

After living a "decent" life my time on earth came to an end. The first thing I remember is sitting on a bench in the waiting room of what I thought to be a court house. The doors opened and I was instructed to come in and have a seat by the defense table. As I looked around I saw the "prosecutor". He was a villainous looking gent who snarled as he stared at me. He definitely was the most evil person I have ever seen. I sat down and looked to my left and there sat my lawyer, a kind and gentle looking man whose appearance seemed very familiar to me. The corner door flew open and there appeared the judge in full flowing robes. He commanded an awesome presence as he moved across the room and I couldn't take my eyes off of him. As he took his seat behind the bench he said "Let us begin." The prosecutor rose and said "My name is Satan and I am here to show you why this man belongs in hell." He proceeded to tell of lies that I told, things that I stole and in the past when I cheated others. Satan told of other horrible perversions that were once in my life and the more he spoke the further down in my seat I sank. I was so embarrassed that I couldn't look at anyone, even my own lawyer, as the Devil told of sins that even I had completely forgotten about. As upset as I was at Satan for telling all these things about me, I was equally upset at my representative who sat there silently not offering any form of defense at all. I know I had been guilty of those things, but I had done some good in my life-couldn't that at least equal out part of the harm I've done. Satan finished with a fury and said "This man belongs in hell, he is guilty of all that I have charged and there is not a person who can prove otherwise. Justice will finally be served this day." When it was his turn, my lawyer first asked if he might approach the bench. The judge allowed this over the strong objection of Satan, and beckoned him to come forward. As he got up and started walking I was able to see him now in his full splendor and majesty. Now I realized why he seemed so familiar. This was Jesus representing me, my Lord and my Savior. He stopped at the bench and softly said to the judge "Hi Dad" and then He turned to address the court. "Satan was correct in saying that this man had sinned, I won't deny any of these allegations. And yes the wages of sin is death and this man deserves to be punished". Jesus took a deep breath and turned to His Father with out-stretched arms and proclaimed, "However, I died on the cross so that this person might have eternal life and he has accepted Me as his Savior, so He is mine." My Lord continued with, "His name is written in the book of life and no one can snatch him from Me. Satan still does not understand yet, this man is not to be given justice but rather mercy." As Jesus sat down, He quietly paused, looked at his Father and replied "There is nothing else that needs to be done, I've done it all". The Judge lifted His mighty hand and slammed the gavel down and the following words bellowed from His lips-"This man is free-the penalty for him has already been paid in full, case dismissed." As my Lord led me away I could hear Satan ranting and raving, "I won't give up, I'll win the next one." I asked Jesus as He gave me my instructions where to go next, "Have you ever lost a case?" Christ lovingly smiled and said "Everyone that has come to Me and asked Me to represent them has received the same verdict as you, Paid in Full."

PRAYER

Father, I ask you to bless my friends and family reading this right now! Lord, show them a new revelation of Your love and power. Holy Spirit, I ask You to minister to their spirit at this very moment. Where there is pain, give them Your peace & mercy. Where there is self-doubting, release a renewed confidence in our ability to work through them. Where there is tiredness or exhaustion, I ask You to give them understanding, patience & strength as they learn submission to Your leading. Where there is spiritual stagnation, I ask You to renew them by revealing Your nearness, and by drawing them into greater intimacy with You. Where there is fear, reveal Your love, and release to them Your courage. Where there is a sin blocking them, reveal it, and break its hold over my friend's life. Bless their finances, give them greater vision, and raise up leaders, and friends to support, and encourage them. Give each of them discernment to recognize the demonic forces around them, and reveal to them the power they have in You to defeat it, I ask You to do these things in Jesus' name!

AMEN

FOOTPRINTS IN THE SAND

One night I dreamed I was walking
along the beach with the Lord. Many
scenes from my life flashed across
the sky. In each scene I noticed
FOOTPRINTS IN THE SAND.

Sometimes there were two sets of
FOOTPRINTS, other times there was
one only. This bothered me because I
noticed that during the low periods of
my life, when I was suffering from
anguish, sorrow or defeat, I could see
only one set of FOOTPRINTS.

So I said to the Lord, "You promised
me Lord that if I followed You, You
would walk with me always but I
noticed that during the most trying
periods of my life, there has been
only one set of FOOTPRINTS IN THE SAND.

Why, when I have needed You most,
You have not been there for me?"

THE LORD REPLIED

"The years when you have seen only
one set of FOOTPRINTS, my child,

IS WHEN I CARRIED YOU."

These are the authentic words

A SECRET - PASS IT ON!!

I have learned the secret of being content. Philippians 4:12-13

A woman named Frances once knew a young person at church named Debbie. Debbie always seemed effervescent and happy, although Frances knew she had faced struggles in her life. Her long-awaited marriage had quickly ended in divorce. She had struggled to get a grip on her single life. She hadn't chosen it, but she decided she would live it with utmost enjoyment and satisfaction. Debbie was active in Sunday school, in the choir, as a leader of the junior high girls' group, and in the church renewal movement.

Frances enjoyed knowing Debbie. Debbie's whole face seemed to smile and she always greeted Frances with a hug. One day she asked Debbie, "How is it that you are always so happy -- you have so much energy, and you never seem to get down?"

With her eyes smiling, Debbie said, "I know the secret!" "What secret is that? What are you talking about?" Frances asked. Debbie replied, "I'll tell you all about it, but you have to promise to share the 'secret' with others."

Frances agreed, "Okay, now what is it?" "The secret is this: I have learned there is little I can do in my life that will make me truly happy. I must depend on God to make me happy and meet my needs. When a need arises in my life, I have to trust God to supply according to HIS riches. I have learned most of the time I don't need half of what I think I do. HE has never let me down. Since I learned that secret--I am happy."

Frances' first thought was, That's too simple! But upon reflecting over her own life she recalled how she thought a bigger house would make her happy--but it didn't! She thought a better-paying job would make her happy--but it hadn't. When did she realize her greatest happiness? Sitting on the floor with her grandchildren, eating pizza and watching a movie--a simple gift from God.

That's the secret. Pass it on!

A newly arrived soul in Heaven was met by St. Peter. The saint toured the soul around Heaven. Both of them walked side by side inside a large workroom filled with angels. St. Peter stopped in front of the first section and said, "This is the Receiving Section. Here, all the petitions to God said in prayer are received. The soul looked at the section, and it was terribly busy with so many angels sorting out petitions written on voluminous paper sheets from all the people of the world. They walked again until they reached the 2nd section, and St. Peter told the soul, This is the Packaging and Delivery Section. Here, the graces and blessings the people asked for are packed and delivered to the persons who asked for them down on earth." The soul saw how busy it was. There were so many angels working in that room, since so many blessing were being packed and delivered to earth. Finally at the farthest corner of the room, the soul stopped at the last section. To the surprise of the soul, only one angel stayed there idly, doing nothing. "This is the Acknowledging Section," St. Peter told the soul. "How is it that there is no work here?" "That's the sad thing," St.Peter answered. "After the people receive the blessings they asked for, very few send their acknowledgments" "How does one acknowledge God's blessing?" "Simple," St. Peter answered. "Just say, 'Thank you, Lord'."

SOME SOLACE IN CRAZY WORLD

When you are tired and discouraged from fruitless efforts...
God knows how hard you have tried.

When you've cried so long and your heart is in anguish...
God has counted your tears.

If you feel that your life is on hold and time has passed you by...
God is waiting with you.

When you're lonely and your friends are too busy even for a phone call...
God is by your side.

When you think you've tried everything and don't know where to turn...
God has a solution.

When nothing makes sense and you are confused or frustrated...
God has the answer.

If suddenly your outlook is brighter and you find traces of hope...
God has whispered to you.

When things are going well and you have much to be thankful for...
God has blessed you.

When something joyful happens and you are filled with awe...
God has smiled upon you.

When you have a purpose to fulfill and a dream to follow...
God has opened your eyes and called you by name.

Remember that wherever you are or whatever you are facing...
GOD KNOWS

WHEN YOU'VE BEEN BLESSED PASS IT ON,
PASS IT ON .............
