My Dee was one of the sweetest men on earth!! Most people are lucky if they have one wonderful person in their life...I can say God blessed me!! My Dee had as strong a Christian faith as anyone I have ever known except for my Deegana!! They were definetly made for one another!! They were married for over 50 wonderful years and set an example that is the envy of all that ever knew them. Dee enjoyed a spiritual friendship with God Almighty. If that sounds strange, it isn't. He talked to God like he would talk to his best friend and he lived a life beyond reproach. Oh I'm sure he had his human frailties but not that I ever saw!! The pure love and devotion he had for God and his wife inspired a desire in me to have the same in my life!! Never in my life have I seen a man so dedicated to his God, his wife or his family. If you look at his face, you can see the love shining there!! That was who he was!! He lived a long full life and taught so many so much!! One of the things that stands out to me is his philosophy about aging!! "You are as young as you feel..think old be old..think young be young" He was living proof of that statement!! Until the latter years after my Deegana passed away and his heart finally started giving out that man was a human dynamo and his mind was as sharp as ever right up to the end!! The song that is playing could have been written for my grandparents, well at least the part about how much they loved one another!! He did complete his chores here on earth and I know in my heart he is with my Deegana in heaven!! And now he is face to face with his Bestfriend!!
I love you Dee and I miss you so very much!! I know, now that you are back with Deegana you are happy and that makes me happy too!!
