Mark's Other Love *S*

Mark loves to fish!! We have even had a discussion on what or who his first love really is from time to time *L* Before we were married he had gone to Topsail to see his dad and his step mom told him to go catch some fish and not to come home until he had enough for everybody!! Imagine her surprise when he left with her car and didn't come back til the next morning!! Here's one for Rippley's Believe It Or Not *L*, he spent the night on the pier.....FISHING!! Now I knew he loved to fish...ok I knew he liked to fish before I said "I do"...I guess I just wasn't listening when he told me how much!! I have learned though not to belittle his beloved hobby because he doesn't understand my love of designing web pages and graphics any better then I understand his love of sitting in the hot sun, wet rain or cold to catch one little fish in 4 hours that you only turn loose!! On the other hand he can not fathom the intelligence of sitting at the computer several hours creating pages!! For the logest time I was able to say I at least had something to show for all my time!! Alas this past year he joined a fishing club, Hawg Hunters!! Still not sure what swine has to do with fish!! *LOL* Just kidding, it has been carefully explained to me the Hawg is a Bass...and I thought that was one of those great big violin looking instruments in an orchestra!! NO I'm not an idiot, I just have a sense of humor..OK so I'm not comedy material!! Any whoooooo...back to where this was leading...he actually won not 1 but 2 of the tournaments last year!! Now I have not 1 but 2 huge trophys I have to dust around!! They are proudly displayed on HIS dresser, along with HIS UNC basketball clock!! So now he has something to show....I still think I am way ahead and my time is spent more efficiently *G*, but hey...it's just another one of those differences that keep things spicy around here *wink* Don't tell him I said this, but I am quite proud of his accomplishments....yeah yeah yeah...as red-neck as those huge trophys look, my hubby won them!! It really is kinda fun to watch him going through all his tackle boxes to get ready for the next big tournament!! I even made the long drive to BASS Pro Shops with him and our 3 little boys!! You ladies know how agrrevating it can be to shop for bargains with a child pulling you in 3 other directions at once and begging for this or that...multiply that by 3 and you know he was not enjoying his long awaited shopping spree!! I gathered my little ducks...I mean Tucks and gave dad his freedom to browse and shop child free!! When we got back home he was the biggest kid in the house as he dumped out his gummy worms *LOL* well that's what they looked like!! We may never agree on his second love, but I'll never tire of that twinkle in his eye as he tells me about the "One that got away!!"
