Tuesday, October 11, 2005 35 weeks, 3 days I woke up this morning around 5 am and it took me (no lie) almost an hour to get up off the sofa. And it hurt soooo bad that I was in tears. I went to the bedroom and Chris woke up because he heard me crying. I told him that I was just in so much pain. Well, at 6:30 am I tried getting up off the bed and again it took me an hour to get off the bed. I called the OB on call and he suggested that I come in to L&D and be evaluated (we know where this is going right???). I was in so much pain that Chris said for me to go on in. I had been crying since 5 am over it. I went in did the urine specimen and got hooked up to the monitors. They noticed I was contracting (well, duh I have been contracting every 10 minutes for 3 weeks now!!!) so they checked me and said I was 1 maybe 2 cm and they could feel something hard like a head. They gave me nubain for pain. At some point while I was out, they saw that one baby's heartbeat had decelerated (just once BTW) so they gave me oxygen. When the dr made his evening rounds, he ordered brethine shot to stop my contractions, even after I point blank said no. Well, I was ticked and made the nurses call him back in and discharge me. He told me that legally he could not induce me before 36 weeks which I understand under normal circumstances. However, my body is trying to labor, but is unable to completely labor naturally. He also pretty much said that he wouldn't induce me at all until 40 weeks.
Wednesday, October 12, 2005 35 weeks, 4 days Well, my appointment totally sucked today!! My urine was fine, BP was fine, heartbeats were fine. I had lost 4 more pounds since last week. She checked by ultrasound and said there was no way to do an amnio because of the locations of the babies. So, I have to hold out longer. I'm going to end up psychotic after all is said and done. I go back next week for 36 week visit and NST. I've just about accepted that I will not have my babies until my due date. They have no plans to induce me at 37 or 38 weeks.
Monday, October 17, 2005 36 weeks, 2 days Well, I sat there for 2.5 hours to be in the back for 15 minutes! And to be told: to wait 2 more weeks! That would put me as being in labor for 6 weeks!!!! I have been having contractions every 10 minutes for 4 weeks now. Last night I was having contractions every 4-8 minutes and its the same today. But, since my cervix is not dilating, I need to wait. I am soooooo frustrated!!!!
