Rehearsals |

Vincent then took us right upstairs to the sound stage so we could catch the tail end of rehearsals. The stage is a great hall with about 6-7 sets up. The day we were there, the sets we saw were Erica's home, Pine Valley Park, Wildwind, The Boathouse, and the PV Police Station. When we first arrived, scenes were being rehearsed with Eden Riegel (Bianca) and Myrtle. Then Vincent turns to us and asks if we even know who is on the stage, "Bianca's Lovah" Sara. (We had yet to see her on the actual show) I took in the mass of lights and the set, and noticed the "new" Laura coming in. Vincent seemed to not know her, or she appeared to be shy, kinda like the new kid on the block. NOW envision we are on the sound stage with Vincent, but we are not to talk too loud, so he had to sort of whisper what he was saying to us. So of course we needed to lean in to listen. He spoke of how there is usually 1 director for the day. Sometimes if a scene is not finished, a director may come back the next day for 1 or 2 scenes. I was curious about where they stored all the sets. He said they are all taken down "brick by brick" if the set is not being used the next day. CAN you imagine the eye for detail these stage crew must have. IMAGINE putting up a Christmas tree several times. The Wildwind and Erica sets both had their Christmas trees/decos up. The scene with Bianca continued with them camera blocking. She also went over to the piano and one-fingered "We wish you a Merry Christmas" I am curious if we will actually hear her play on the show. The camera crews all then proceeded down to the Boathouse, so Vincent took our pictures on Erica's set. As we walked through the door, I was thinking BOY to lay on top of the piano ROFL, and I heard Vincent say if the crew weren't around we could get on the piano. Another thing I noticed was how nice Vincent seemed to be to all the stage people. He greeted alot of them, and they all seemed to feel comfortable around him. Like you can see him talking baseball with them. |

Walking around Erica's set was amazing. There were mints in all of the candy dishes. The books on the tables were real. There was another tour group who were relatives of one of the stage crew. Vincent graciously said hello and took a picture with them. He then took our picture in front of Erica's fireplace. He actually got down on his knees to take the picture. |

We then walked down to watch some rehearsals at the boathouse with Laura,Bianca,Greenlee, and Leo. Josh and Rebecca seemed to get along really well. He was joking around like a little school boy, putting that long lanky leg around her waist. Vincent had my camera and was shooting pictures. We talked a little about digital cameras, he said he had not considered one yet because he needs to get a new computer first. At this point we totally embarrassed him. We were in the middle of the conversation when he backed away, then got a desperate look, waving us to the side. Well we were totally clueless that there was this HUGE camera coming at our backs. I swear the moment was frozen in time, with every crew member looking at us like we were idiots. We go to move and almost trip over all the stupid cables. That moment passes, and soon enough, my camera bag gets bumped and ALL of my disks go crashing to the ground!! This was only the beginning of our comedy of errors. |

Vincent spoke of how he had some upcoming scenes with Dixie in the boathouse. We then watched Laura and Brooke also do some scenes in the Boathouse. After this we moved over to the Wildwind set and shot a few pictures. Here we also got a pic with Eden (Bianca) and I praised her for her wonderful job portraying teen angst. She seemed very sweet! While we got pictures at the swing set, I thought Val should sit and have Vincent push her. (To see alot more pics, click on my home button and there is a link to all of my photos) |
