He then talked about how his movie "Lying Eyes" was making the rounds. He had such a lousy time making the movie since it was the director's first time. He went on to add that the network and the director seemed to want 2 different characterizations and how the character never really grew as evidenced by the last scene. |

Elise (You who worship from afar!) then asked about 2 shows she could find no info on. Circus was a pilot which did air, with Tony J? (who is the voice of the priest in The Hunchback of Notre Dame) and ??? (the wife of the man who played Ray Gardner).
THROB (OH where my mind went here ) was a series which he had a walk on with "the man who was the Pharaoh in Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dream - Michael something" Michael Damian. Jane Leeves also was a regular.
Through this section he kept forgetting names - kidding around about how awful he is about remembering names. He would come up with 1/2 a name and then the audience would magically know who he was talking about and muster up the full name. (I think for the next tea, we should have a game show called... People from your past... and see how many he gets.)
He then spoke about his character on LA Law where he asked Michelle Green's character Abby to dinner. Boyd Gaines (from Contact) was also in this episode as her husband. When he auditioned for this he had just finished making 'Heartbreak Ridge' and had a "marine" haircut. They were unsure about casting him because of his hair so they called him back several times to see how his hair was growing. He also commented on how he had some funky scar on his scalp that was visible at that time.
The story behind the scar - when he was around 10 yo, he dove under the snow into a plow, just imagine him buried in the snow with his legs sticking out. |

And then it was onto some AMC questions
Vincent eluded that David & Erica probably did have an off camera conversation about Erica's rape and abandonment issues and the writers had obviously missed the boat on what could have been riveting scenes. He then strongly defended his "professional courtesy" on withholding news of Dimitri from Erica.
He discussed how recently alot was taking place off camera - so there must be a European version which had the off camera scenes. Gillian finding out about Dimitri, Alex and Dimitri finding each other and now magically David is treating Dimitri off screen. He also felt there could have been some wonderful scenes with Alex confronting David about the knowledge of Dimitri. |

Mona (Jadyland) asked a question I didn't hear, but he said it was great to see her, liked her hair, and how was the baby. He talked about how he still has the rights to a rape story, in which he is shopping around the networks. He feels it is true to current life right now because the case hinges on DNA evidence. He mentioned UK was just passing a bill requiring all convicted felons to have DNA on file. The case he owns rights to was just written up in People magazine with the Jennifer Aniston/Brad Pitt nuptials on the cover "What Jennifer could never forget" |

Someone asked about Erica and Dixie - He said he thought D&E would happen again, but the thing he likes about Dixie is that it is a male/female relationship where it creeps up on them and they depend on one another, going thru some intense experiences together, like her miscarriage and her heart condition. BUT she is married and the writers are torn and fear damaging her image. Erica is a selfish love.
Everyone commented on how the last week had been phenomenal and were there new writers? (The D&E on Alex's desk scene :-) |

He said he had no idea who the writers usually are since they are in a completely different building.
If you were David, who would you prefer, Erica or Dixie? Erica challenges him on certain levels where Dixie challenges him on other levels. Erica has an excitement which may not be healthy. When it's good, it's GOOD, when it's bad, it's a nightmare - you wanna slit your wrists (I think he said he has had some relationships like this)
Dixie brings a level of normalcy which is he believes is healthier for him to become a WHOLE man (And who thought he was not already a whole man?)
He does believe he loves Erica but she cannot trust that. |
