He was then asked what his favorite U2 songs are:  Love Rescue Me; With or Without You;  He found the movie they did to be inspiring to him as an actor.  He then told us he went to concerts all the time as a teenager.

He then moved on to talk about his Edgar CD and how it was so dark and gothic.  There was a discussion with Melissa about Martin Henessey??  She spoke of how she had choreographed a dance to "Night Song?"  She is beautiful and I can imagine her dancing.

Santa Monica is where he & Avalon lived and got married in a little wooden church with the reception right ouside in a park.

He grew up in Flushing NY and kidded around saying he would be in jail now if they did not move away.  He then moved to Long Island  and all he knew to befriend people was to fight.

Then in Highschool he became a "peace/love kinda guy"  but the jocks still were afraid of him.

For his communion his gifts were 'Diana Ross introduces the Jackson 5' & 'The Doors 13'  Classical that he loves included Chopin, and some Beethoven.

He then talked about his Faith.  He became a christian 8 years ago.  He realized he needed a saviour.  "I haven't been a saint since then"  He realized some of the choices he made had been hurtful.  He then quoted a Bible verse ??anyone remember which one??  which dealt with transforming yourself through renewing your mind.  He was really quite serious and went into detail about how he found the Lord, and accepted his Son, Jesus Christ.  This was where I sort of was more mesmerized by his talking and don't remember many details.

VI then invited Kate Lemmer, the director, from Hope for New York. He spoke about several of the charities he had been active with including Habitat for Humanity (where he has done homes in Newark, NJ and Baltimore, MD where 'The Corner' is based upon, Sandtown?) and Angeltree (which donates gifts to children of prison inmates).  Kate thanked all for their prayers for her husband, who had been diagnosed with Prostate Cancer.  He is doing well now.

He also shared a story I found very touching (since I work with community outreach and AIDS) about a friend of his he had lost touch with, but found out he had AIDS.  Thru a HFNY sponsored mission he found out his friend had been hospitalized and was knocking on death's door.  The mission prayed for his friend and sang some inspirational songs.  He is convinced that the outpouring of prayer is what brought his friend through.

I was really touched and inspired by Kate Lemmer.  She was very gracious and thankful for the donations from FOVI.  I do hope our organization will continue to support their efforts.  It is amazing what women can do!!  They reminded us of the
FOVI auction of many AMC items to be held October 1-7 on Ebay which can be found at www.vincentirizarry.com.

They then announced that Vincent would have an autograph line and Lisa (Maddie) would be taking candid pictures for everyone.  He then exclaimed Lisa?! OHHHH That's Maddie (as he smirked)  Hi Maddie, I know you have done some writing recently!

We then all waited in line to meet the man himself and have him autograph our wonderful pictures.  I actually enjoyed this time to get to talk to some of my cybersisters.  It was so nice to meet everyone.  Every one seemed to be on a real energy high.  Lisa and Arlene passed out HOHO's to celebrate the HayHO Haven's First Anniversary.  Of course Arlene slipped one to VI.  Lisa (Maddie) was also kind enough to take candid pictures of everybody meeting VI.  Thanks Lisa!!!  We all can't wait to see the pics.
