Hello and welcome to our little place on the web! I guess I should introduce us all. I am Chelsae, and my husband and I have two adorable daughters. Ali, 18 months and ShaeLynn, 8 months. Both of them are incredibly happy and easygoing babies! We credit all the chocolate I ate while I was pregnant. :) You can see pictures of them both on their pages on the right of your screen. Our oldest daughter Ali surprised us by being born with an extra chromosome. She has Down Syndrome, or Trisomy 21. **"It's true that Down Syndrome has set them apart, But God gives them grace to capture our hearts."** Our second daugher surprised us by being premature, yet doing very well and going home with us! She later surprised us further by being diagnosed with a rare form of epilepsy. I am creating this page to share my children, especially my daughter Ali. Hopefully it will help people understand that having a child with Down Syndrome is not something to be feared. It has been a wonderful experience for everyone who comes into contact with my daughter. :)

Our family enjoys lots of things....playing together, being outside, playing with the doggies. The girls love their Signing Time videos too. We spend lots of time researching the medical conditions that are relevant so that we know what to expect. And we spend lots of time talking to with Dr's about how to best approach everything. But mostly we just have lots and lots of fun no matter what we do. :) Lucky Just Like Me :) "I do not mean to brag", I said The day my baby girl was born; "But this child is so magical Much more so than the norm." "You see" I said through tears of joy The day I took her home; "My baby girl recieved a special gift An extra special chromosome." Instead of having 46, She has 47. Thank you God for sending us This angel straight from heaven. I look at her in awe each day As I hold her close to me And hope and pray that others too Can be lucky just like me! Please feel free to look around at the other pages, they have lots of pictures along with more about both of my kids! :) Www.Trisomy21Online.com

We have a fabulous family and support system. They have all been there through all of the things we've had to deal with in the last two years. Most recently Peanut has been diagnosed with a rare form of epilepsy. While in the hospital regulating her medications for that they discovered that her liver enzymes were very high indicating her liver isn't functioning properly. We still have lots of tests ahead to find out exactly what is going on, but for now she is doing much better on the seizure meds and is a totally different child!!!! :) Our family has been a big help through the entire hospital stay, as they have been with previous hospital stays. They are awesome, and I know that this like everything else will turn out just fine. :)
