ShaeLynn Marilee "Peanut"
This is a little place just for "Peanut" as we call her. We call her that because it fits her so much better than her real name. :)

Peanut was born December 11, 2003 and despite being premature she weighed 6lbs 2oz and was 18 inches long. She needed oxygen for a few hours and had to be under lights for jaundice, but went home with us two days later.

Since then Peanut has been surprisingly healthy for being a preemie born in the middle of winter. :) She is right on track for her adjusted age and is catching up quickly.

Peanut does have reflux, which we are trying to get under control. She was also recently diagnosed with Epilepsy but is doing well on medication. The medication made a world of difference and she is a totally different child! You can read her story here: http://www.geocities.com/mommy_to_ali/seizurestory.html

Peanut rolls and pivots all over the place and is just starting to sit up! She has two teeth and is working on more, and has also started eating solid foods. She is generally a very happy baby and is constantly laughing and smiling. She inherited her Dad's gorgeous blue eyes, and when you combine that with her smile she is incredible! Since starting her seizure medication she is even more of a joy and has developed a lot in the last few days. She is now almost crawling, trying to pull up to things, using her left side a lot more, and even getting into all fours and then using one hand to play with something, or playing with something while sitting up. All things she couldn't do a few days ago!

At 8 months she is about 28 inches long and weighs about 17lbs.
