Sweet Whispers

By My Good Friend, Sylvia aka "Sylverpoet"

"SWEET WHISPERS"

The Savior whispered to my mind, and gave me words to say.
He said, write these words on paper, pass them on to whom you may.
Tell them I'm the one who suffered and I let my body die.
I went to hell and grabbed the keys, and took them with me to the skies.

I watch from Heaven every moment, all the turmoil still the same,
My people fighting with each other, even killing in my name.
You must hear me this time, hear me clear and hear me all.
I will not come and die again, for it's time for satans fall!

Do you think your heart is broken, and there's no repair in sight?
I'm so glad you could not feel the hurt, when that daylight turned to night!
You cry and beat your breast, when your loved ones let you down.
But I say it does not equal one small thorn on my first crown.

You say you can't forgive some, and that there has formed a breech?
Is that what you think I would say, or is it just what man has preached.
Suppose that one lay dieing that caused you hurt for many years.
And that one whispered out your name, and it faintly caught your ear.

Would you think about the pain they caused, the anger and the strife?
Or would you press them to your heart, and soothe with words of life.
I tell you now, there is no sign that hangs on Heavens gate.
Those who wear my blood on them have no cause to seperate.

And I do not see those many names, on those temples where you are
I see only, on each soul, blood of love dripped from my scars.
And the temple that I gaze upon, is the one beneath your breast.
Yes, it is wise to join the flock, but I still want all the rest!

For it is those that I seek after, as in my parables I did say.
With the others safe among the flock, I must seek after those who stray!
Won't you try to love as I do, giving love, start after start?
Will you still reject this message I keep sending to your heart?

My peace I did leave with you, If you'll just try to let things go.
It's those thing that you must leave to me, so through you my love can show!
Oh yes, it consume some time, taking faith and patience too.
But won't you wait upon me, as I have waited long on you!

Have you not ever noticed just how dark a place could be.
But with a tiny glowing light, so many things that you could see!
Consider me that glow of light, and when I do come in,
I will separate you from the dark, and destroy pain and sin!

So let me take the pain and weight, and begin to free your heart.
And know, I've been there all along, right from the very start.
Don't think that you are worthless, and let debts keep you astray.
If you had been the only one, I would still have gone that day!

I said I'd not forsake my sheep, or leave them all alone,
So lets pick up, where you left me, and I will make you strong.
I never have stopped loving you, as you wandered on your way.
Remember, that a thousand years, to me, it's just a day!

And remember this, it was not you who hung upon that cross.
I am the one who earned the right, t'was me who paid the cost!
So if you even faintly cry, and whisper out my name,
I will answer you and comfort you, for it's I who stayed the same.

Although it's you who stray from me, and causes me the strife,
I will press you gently to my heart, and soothe with words of life.
Most of all you must remember, those words I spoke so true.
When I said, Father, please forgive them, for they know not what they do.

Well, my grace is still sufficient, for one, and yes, for all.
As my blood is still upon you , from when you heeded that first call!
I am waiting just to hear your call, for my grace does still abound.
And if you'll faintly whisper out my name, to me, tis still the sweetest sound!

Personal note: " I feel in my heart that a lot of my poetry is truly inspired by Lord. These words came to me very early one morning in March, 1994. I just wrote the lines as they came. I thought this was for a friend of mine - to comfort and reassure her - but as I re-read it I knew that it must be for many. I have made copies and "passed them on to whom I may", as the first lines indicate. This poem has been read by many - relatives and friends - and to congregations, from pulpits of churches. I feel that each reader will find something in this writing that will touch their heart, or, to open an eye .... just as it did mine. Please feel free to pass it on."
