Chapter Three
Through out the day, each guy showed up one by one. Adrea watched them all most of the time. Each member did something different when they talked. When JC talked to Sarah, you could tell she was his sister. When he talked to someone else, like a friend of one of the guys, he did have the passion in his words like to his sister or the other guys. When Lance talked he uses his hands more to help him get out what he is trying to say. Joey when talking to the ladies, he would flirt a little, just not a whole lot. When talking to the guys, he�d joke about the stuff he�d talk about. When Chris talked, he joked about everything that came out of his mouth. Adrea also noticed how the two playful and immature 20-year-olds didn�t even crack a joke to one another the whole time they were around each other. They were being civil and acted like they were much older.
�You seem bored.� Adrea heard a deeper voice say, she turned slightly to see Lance standing by her.
She moved to where Lance was standing in front of her.
�I�m not bored, just watching what is going on.� Adrea said, she looked at the confused look on Lance�s face, �You see, I don�t know anyone, and the way for me to know someone better is to watch them interact with other people.� Adrea started
�What have you come up with then?� Lance asked with a slight smile
�Justin and Sarah are immature around each other until the rest of you guys showed up. Joey does try to hard to get the ladies to like him, you use your hands way to much when talking, JC has more passion when talking to you guys and his sister then he does with the others and Chris jokes about everything that comes out of his mouth.� Adrea said with a smile on her face
�Very nice indeed.� Lance laughed taking Adrea�s hand and pulling her to wards Justin, Chris, Sarah and JC. �She found us out.� Lance said making his eyes get bigger
Adrea looked at him not knowing what he was talking about.
�She found what about us out?� JC asked sitting his cup down.
�That we can�t stand each other.� Lance said trying to hold back his laughter
�What?� Adrea asked looking at him then at the others standing in front of her.
She didn�t know what he was talking about; she didn�t want the others to think she thought like that.
�Oh man, do we hate each other.� Chris said putting a hand to his head. �I can�t stand how Justin hits on my girl friend.� Chris added taking Sarah�s hand.
Lance by that time had a huge smile on his face. Adrea looked at each guy closely. JC looked about pissed off that Chris was holing Sarah�s hand. Justin was laughing to hard; Sarah was acting along with it.
�But Chrissy, you promised you wouldn�t tell anyone.� Sarah said with a pout.
�Oh enough!� JC said turned to look at Lance, �Don�t start stuff today boy.� He added walking off.
Sarah was laughing so hard that she was holding her sides. Justin watched amused as his friend stormed off. Lance just smiled brightly and Chris still kept up the act, he never knew when to stop with stuff.
�You guys are crazy, don�t you care that JC is up set?� Adrea asked still looking at them, they had stopped laughing
�He�ll be fine, he has this thing you see.� Sarah started but Justin finished for her.
�He thinks that we all want Sarah, and he can�t stand it.� Justin said watching Sarah try to pull her hand away from Chris, �Dude, JC is gone you can let her go now.� Justin said pulling their hands apart.
Adrea watched at the frustrated face Justin made pulling Chris�s had away from Justin�s, she was going to remember that face for the future.
�You see, he really thinks that Chris and Justin want me, but he has to know I wouldn�t date them, I�d date Lance� Isn�t that right Lancey?� Sarah smirked
Justin rolled his eyes, as did Chris, Lance just laughed at the little nickname she had for him. She had nicknames for all the guys; Adrea would soon come to learn each of them.
�Why because he is from the M state?� Chris yawned already bored with what they were talking about. He didn�t wait for an answer; he walked off and started to talk to some of his other friends that were at Justin�s place.
�Because Chris, He is a real man.� Sarah shouted loud enough for the whole block to hear.
�I�ll show you a real man.� Justin joked; Sarah rolled her eyes up at him
�Get over your self Justin.� She said walking off.
Adrea watched Justin; his eyes followed Sarah as she made her way towards the kitchen.
�You both act to be about 9 years old with all this name calling and picking on each other when the others aren�t around.� Adrea said not really trying to make Justin stop in his once moving track towards the kitchen.
�What do you mean by that?� Justin asked turning to look at Adrea
�I�m just asking, what is up with the immaturity when no one else is around?� Adrea found her self-asking she could tell Justin wasn�t to thrill with the way she assumed so much in the little time she had been around them.
�You�ve been around us less then a full day, you don�t know how we act around each other all the time. There are other people around here, people we don�t really want to see us act like normal teen aged kids.� Justin said his eyes blazing with anger
�You were doing it the first day I met you, Making faces to Sarah when JC wasn�t looking, what is up with that then?� Adrea asked, she wasn�t trying to sound nosing or anything, she just wanted to know, to put things in order.
�JC don�t like the fact that Sarah is one of my closest friends. Nothing more to be said about that, he knows we are nothing more. Now if you don�t mind, I�m sick of something like you trying to get into my business.� Justin shot as he turned around and walked towards the kitchen
Adrea stood there taking in the last few words he had said to her. This whole time she thought they actually like her, when in fact it was all a lie, so she thought. Or maybe Justin was just in a bad mood. She didn�t know, but she just couldn�t stand being there any more, in that house. Justin�s house for that matter, Adrea pulled on her coat and started towards the front door when she remembered Sarah had pulled her to Justin�s house, and her car was at Jive still.
�Great� Adrea thought to her self, scanning the room looking for Sarah, She remembered her walking into the kitchen and didn�t see her walk back out. Adrea slowly started towards the kitchen. She was about to walk the five more feet to be all the way inside the kitchen when she remembered Justin had walked in there. Sarah was her only way back to her car, she knew the others wouldn�t want to leave just to take her back to Jive. Adrea continued to walk in but she stopped short, she didn�t want to eavesdrop she didn�t even mean to, she just didn�t want to interrupt them talking.
�So you coming to New York this week end?� Justin asked, he was leaning up against a counter, Sarah was sitting on the counter behind him massaging his muscles.
�I don�t know, I think Mommy Lynn wanted me to help her with stuff this week end.� Sarah said
�You hang out to much with MY Mother, go get your own.� Justin smiled turning around.
�I would, but my mommy died when I was 2�and you know this, so I have your mom and JC�s mom�. And you�ll never get to see your mommy ever again.� Sarah laughed with a slight roll of her eyes.
�So you�re not going to be able to make it, no fair. I guess you can try to make it next time.� Justin said turning around again so Sarah could finish massaging his muscles.
�You know it�s not polite to eavesdrop.� Adrea heard JC�s voice ring out behind her.
Adrea turned around fast and looked at him.
�I was going to go in there, but I heard them talking. I didn�t want to interrupt them.� Adrea said real fast.
�What do you need?� JC asked looking at Adrea
�I was just going to ask Sarah if she could take me back to Jive, so I could get my car and go home.� Adrea said biting her lower lip.
�I could take you, I was going to head over there later, I guess I could just go now.� JC said pulling an arm around Adrea�s shoulders. They walked out the front door like that �Sarah drove you here? I don�t see her car anywhere.� JC added as he got into his jeep, Adrea got in and closed the door pulling her seat belt on.
�She picked me up in Justin�s Jaguar.� Adrea said as JC took a drink of his soda
JC almost choked on it almost spiting it out at what Adrea just said.
�Are you sure it was a Jaguar?� JC asked as he pulled past the gate.
�Yeah, I am totally sure, he freaked out when she told him she crashed it.� Adrea said
Adrea looked over at JC as he drove and listened to her talk, she could tell he wasn�t too happy about the whole Sarah driving Justin�s Jaguar thing.
They reached the Jive building about half an hour later, Adrea didn�t think it was that far, then again Sarah was going 90 miles an hour all the way to Justin�s house in the first place. JC pulled up to a reserved parking lot and shut the car off.
�Thanks for the ride.� Adrea said getting out followed by JC getting out of the car.
�Yeah, it�s nothing. Like I said I was heading this way any ways.� JC said locking his jeep.
Adrea watched as JC started towards the doors of Jive. It was late out, she didn�t think he would be able to get inside. What surprised her even more was when he unlocked the door with a key. She didn�t think that someone on the record label would get a key to the building. She watched as he walked in the doors and disappeared that is when she headed towards her car to leave. She was just getting to her car when she heard her name called out, she stopped in her tracks and turned around, and JC was walking towards her.
�Have you ever seen a recording booth?� He asked about 20 feet from her.
�I can�t say that I have.� Adrea said trying to figure out what was going on.
�Then today is your lucky day.� JC said now taking her hand and pulling her towards the building.
