Chapter Four
Adrea sat down on a chair in front of all the buttons, and lights that were on the switchboard. JC was sitting next to her messing with some of the buttons, putting more bass then putting fewer bass in the song. Adrea was amazed by the size of the studio. From stuff she had seen in photos and on TV. Recording studio�s seemed big; this one wasn�t that big, it was big enough to fit five guys singing, and a few guys adjusting stuff. It wasn�t as big as the ones on TV and in photos. Adrea looked over at JC a few times, she noticed the expression on his face, and it was of pure happiness. JC could tell when Adrea looked at him; he wasn�t blind by how she stared at him in awe.
�What to help?� JC asked turning his head to face Adrea.
Adrea sat up a little more and looked to see if he was joking.
�Oh no, I don�t want to ruin it.� Adrea managed to get out.
�You won�t ruin it, we have more then one copy of each song you know.� JC laughed
�No, I�ll just watch. I mean after all I majored in English, not music.� Adrea laughed
�Fine, but you can�t say I offered.� JC said
Adrea sat there and looked at him, she listens to the song that was being fixed up. It was already on their latest CD. JC was doing a remix of it, or something it was a song that Justin had wrote. It was one of the best ones on the CD in it�s self.
Something happens when you look at me I forget to speak. Something happens when you kiss my mouth my knee get so weak, could it be true is this, what god has meant for me? �Cause baby I can�t believe that something like you could happen to me.
�What are you doing to this song any ways?� Adrea got out still listening to the words. JC didn�t say anything at first; Adrea was about to ask again when he turned slightly to face her.
�Doing a remix of it, Sarah likes this song, and her birthday is this week end. I thought what a better thing then to do a few remix of her favorite songs.� JC said running his hands through his hair.
�What songs are her favorite ones that you are putting into a remix?� Adrea asked looking at the lights go up and down to each word she spoke.
�Celebrity, Girlfriend, Gone, See Right Through You, and Something Like You.� JC said pressing a few more buttons.
Adrea sat there a few minutes; she was thinking as to whom wrote those songs, when it hit her.
�All of Justin�s songs?� Adrea asked, JC tensed up a little then relaxed, he hadn�t realized that, yet someone that they had just met a few days ago was putting pieces to the puzzle together faster then he could.
�I never really noticed they were all his.� JC said
Adrea knew she needed to change the subject, she knew JC wasn�t too happy about the fact that Justin and Sarah were so close.
�I noticed, you being Sarah�s older brother, the two of you don�t look anything alike.� Adrea said, JC let a little laugh out then turned to look at Adrea
She was waiting for him to tell her to mind her own business.
�We have different parents. She was adopted, when she was 2 years old. Her mother had died of cancer, and they couldn�t find her family. They put her in foster care, After I was born, My mom found out she couldn�t have any more kids. Something happened during my birth or something. So she isn�t my real sister by blood. But I love her like a real sister, she is the only sister I have.� JC said running his hands over his face
Adrea looked at him, she had guessed something was up after hearing Sarah speak to Justin about her mom dying when she was 2 years of age. Adrea moved her hand and touched JC�s which was on his face. His elbows were on the booth, and his hands were to his face.
�Are you okay, JC?� Adrea asked
JC stood up quickly and stretched out. They had been in the studio for over two hours.
�You haven�t seen my place have you?� JC asked looking at a still sitting Adrea
�Not that I know of.� Adrea said looking up.
�Do you want to see it?� JC asked then quickly said something else, �Oh what am I thinking, you are beginning to be good friends with Sarah, so you�ll be there all the time.� JC started to ramble.
�Hey, hey, I�d love to come see your place.� Adrea said trying to make him shut up before he embarrassed him self too much.
JC looked at her and was about to talk.
�With you, I�d love to come see your place with you.� Adrea said standing up. She grabbed her coat and pulled it on. JC looked at her for a few more seconds then pulled his own coat on.
�Uh, you can just follow me then.� JC said after they had walked out side
�Okay.� Adrea said as she got to her car and got in.
She didn�t mean for things to get odd, she just wanted him to shut up and not embarrass him self. She followed JC for about 35 minutes. She noticed that he didn�t live very far from Justin�s neighborhood. Adrea watched as JC leaned out the window and punched the numbers into the keypad for his gate to open. He pulled through, as did she; Adrea noticed that gate slowly close after she had parked her car. When she got out of the car, she looked up to his 3 story house, some of the lights were on and she noticed Justin�s Jaguar parked a few feet from where JC parked. She guessed Justin let Sarah drive home in his Jaguar.
JC was waiting by the front door for Adrea, she was standing by her car staring up at his house, and it was white with gray trim. The yard was huge, with trees and flowers all over.
�Wow, it is so beautiful.� Adrea said as she walked up a few steps to be standing next to JC.
�I just got it about 3 months ago.� JC smiled, he was happy with his place, it was the first thing he had actually bought from all his money, besides a car. Now he had this house and was about ready to buy one in California.
When they walked in, you could hear loud music coming from up stairs. Adrea watched JC roll his eyes as he took his coat off and hung it up in the closet; he took Adrea�s coat and did the same with it.
�Make your self at home, I�ll be right back. Got to beat up a 19 year old brat.� JC smiled as he started up the stairs.
Adrea looked around at the photos that were hanging up in the hall wall. They were of JC with other celebrities and a few of Sarah with the guys. Adrea heard footsteps, they weren�t coming from up stairs, so she assumed Sarah was down stairs. She assumed right, Sarah was walking out of the kitchen
�I see Justin let you drive his car again.� Adrea said catching Sarah off guard
�What are you doing here?� Sarah asked holding a plate of food.
�JC brought me over.� Adrea said looking at the young girl standing on the first step of the stairs.
�Where is he?� Sarah asked taking a piece of cut up apple off the plate and putting it into her mouth.
�He thought you were up stairs, he went up there to tell you to turn your music down.� Adrea said
Sarah�s eyes got wide as she raced up the stairs, trying not to dump the plate of food she had in her hands. Adrea was confused by this action and walked up the stairs. She stopped at the top when a bedroom door flew open. She watched as Sarah almost dropped the food on to the floor but caught it just in time.
�Josh, when did you get home?� Sarah asked looking at her brother, he was standing with his arms a crossed his chest, he was looking at Justin who was sitting on Sarah�s bed.
�About five minute�s ago.� JC said through shut teeth
�I should go.� Justin said standing up off the bed. He grabbed his coat that was lying on it and shrugged it on.
�Why you leaving so fast?� JC asked looking at the younger boy standing in front of him.
�Because, something is going on, and it isn�t between Sarah and I. I personally don�t want to be here right now.� Justin started as he walked out of the room.
Justin looked at Adrea, Adrea could tell he wasn�t too pleased to see her there.
�Tell your new man, that Sarah and I are just friends. Nothing more.� Justin hissed as he walked down the stairs and out the front door.
Adrea walked the rest of the way towards Sarah�s bedroom. She knocked at the door a small light knock. Sarah was sitting on her bed, eating the food that was still on the plate. She kept saying whatever to what JC had to say to her.
�Uh, JC?� Adrea got out; she didn�t want to be in the way. JC didn�t even look at her. �I think I should go now.� Adrea added. JC turned his head and looked at her
�Why so soon?� JC asked his anger that was in his voice when talking to both Sarah and Justin was gone.
