Justice of Peace:

Mr Chan was cordially invited to be our JP for the evening. My first choice as I had seen him in action at Ying Ying's wedding and I liked him especially since he's bilingual and could conduct the solemnization in Mandarin as well.

Feedback from guests had been extremely favourable commenting that he has his sense of humour and has brightened up the otherwise, short and dull ceremony.

浪滅

What you saw at each table was a red/ gold chocolate box filled with chocolates, In local China terms, they're known as 浪滅 and given to everyone to share in the couple's happiness at a wedding.

She liked the idea of 浪滅  and scouted around for these boxes in Shanghai before settling on them. All boxes and chocolates were imported by her from Shanghai and packed individually by the wedding helpers the night before.

Hope you had liked the 浪滅 !

Invite Cards

Not sure if you found them unique, but we sure did!

Again, a product of Shanghai specially imported for the event.

There were 3 designs in all. Not sure which one each of you had. The English printing at the back of each card was printed at Tanggodd's print shop at Tiong Bahru.

* Now you know why I needed your Chinese names and address. *

Wedding Stamp

Not sure if your sharp eyes have spotted it, but the stamps was inked onto the wedding invitations envelopes sent out to the guests.

The wedding stamp was specially made in Shanghai for the two of us.

Her mum called the two "ang gongs": Ah Gong & Ah Ma.

The Venue

The venue (Plaza Parkroyal) was selected as she felt there was a romantic feel to it and the place was breezy.

He liked it as he likes the privacy whereby the guests were not disturbed by the hotel guests and we could hold our event in our corner tucked away at the pavilion.

Of course, budget was a consideration and all in, it was the best place at the right budget!

You think so too?

The Cupcakes

A total of over 70 cupcakes were ordered from CCup to add to the food variety as well for decoration purposes.

The bride's friends also used it as a backdrop for their photos. Guess her friends and her think alike....hee...
