Entrepreneurship
This class gives students an overview of all aspects of owning your own business: business concepts, elements
of success, goal setting, research to analyze whether or not your business is a good one, costs, setting prices,
marketing, raising capital, insurance, government regulations, hiring employees, banking, recordkeeping,
managing resources, and taxes. Students will each pick a business idea, research it and write a business plan.
Students will go to James J. Hill Business Library in St. Paul after school or to a site in Minneapolis. Includes
speakers and a class visit to area businesses.
