SLC BUSINESS MENTORSHIP
The emphasis of this course is to prepare students for their paid summer internships and to create an awareness
of careers in business. Students do interest tests, career exploration, resumes, interview skills, application letters.
Skills covered include telephone skills, listening skills, filing, teamwork, goal setting, prioritizing, organizational
tips and ten-key. During the class students go to a corporation for rotating mentorships. Guest speakers are
invited to come to Roosevelt. Students in this course will have the opportunity to become members of the
Business Professionals of America and take part in the activities and competitive events.
