The month of October saw the continuation of work on the block work, plaster & MEP first-fix throughout the buildings. The external stone cladding work commenced on the DEZ & MoE buildings as well as the external plaster work on the parapets and Service Block.
The backfilling work continued on the underground water tank with the completion expected in November 2002. Work also continued on the external works for services and the permanent power connection from DEWA. The interior design and the FF&E tender proposals were received and are currently under review.
The project progress reporting has been adjusted to reflect the final agreed weighting of the major phases of the project, namely 3% for Pre-Design, 10% for Design, 2% for Tendering and 85% for Construction.
