| Jenner: Back to Hotel: Laura drives. First time in a convertible! Distract her by talking about They Might Be Giants, wrong turn, u-turn, back on track. Bye to Mindy. Reach hotel. Silly string, temporary tattos. Quick clean-up. Observation by Hawk: The best way to wake someone up is to do a charade involving a naked bus driver. ;) Gumbie: At the hotel, Silly string and charades abounded. I know I fell asleep at some point during charades... I woke up at some interesting moments, rising out of sleep to yell out "Othello" to Jack's delight (cause then he could stop acting it out..). I also recall something about a naked bus While Chrebet's away.... driver....*shudder* I forget what time laura and I left for her house, but I know we did at some point.. then to bed for me! Jinx: After the theater we hung out some more at D&Bs and played more games. Hubby and I raced each other on the cars and he won each time **grumble** Even knocking him off the track a few times didn�t help! Around 12am or so the majority of our party left and headed back to the hotel. So it was just me, Chrebet, Keith, hubby and his friends. Then it became the �play for tickets so Jinxie can get something awesome in at the Ed, Lasso, Laura, Gumbie gift counter!� About an hour later we all headed back to the hotel. What we walked into was a war zone! Shortly thereafter I left for home. Hawk: So I will pick up my story very late Saturday night, (well we couldn�t let Sorin stay up all alone could we?!) the games continued with another rousing round of Asshole. It quickly turned into team Asshole, with the girls against the guys. With Jenner firmly entrenched in the Presidents seat, a successful mutiny finally ended her loooong rein and put Jack in power. I still can�t imagine why the women didn�t like the rule he tried to enact� ;) This all continued until the sun came up and we realized that we could no longer make out the cards in our hands. So of course, we did the only logical thing � we decided that this must be the perfect time to sign postcards! I can�t remember the last time I laughed so hard! So if anyone out there doesn�t think there is anything funny on their card, just stay up for 24 hours or so and then read it again, you�ll see things in a whole new light. ;) We finally decided to call it a night� if you can call it that at 8:30 in the morning, and good byes were said to Jenner, Pam, and Dave, just in case I slept through the alarm. I�m happy to report that I did manage to get up with the alarm and so got in a second round of good byes. Chrebet: Back at the hotel it was another round of drinking, drunken charades and cards. Sorin finally left us for the airport around 5am :o( Jenner was a much better president than Jack. I What Jinx finally got finally kicked everyone out of my room at the early evening hour of 8am SUNDAY!!! Jenner: Charades (with all the enthusiasts on the other team, and Dave and Keith trying desperately to rally their team, but failing. *g* Try to get Chrebet to defect to our team, but fail.). Switch to cards. After being President for what seemed like hours and probably was (LOL), Dave decides to mutiny against me. �Down with Jenner, Up with Dave!� And succeeds. :-( But, before you know it, I�m back on top. :-) Accused of handing my last 2 card directly to Chrebet instead of giving everyone an equal chance to grab it, but you know it�s just a coverup for their slowness. *g* Sun comes up. We ignore it. Officially my first all-nighter. More cards. Sign postcards. Try to censor Dave, but a few get through anyway. Let Chrebet sleep. Chrebet and Jenner Jinx: Sunday was I arrived at the hotel around 12pm. Jenner and Pam were leaving that day and I told Chrebet that if she accompanied me I could show her the proper way to get to the airport ;o) Little did I know that no one went to bed that night till three hours ago!!! About 1:30 the four of us set out to the airport making a quick stop at Dunkin Donuts for food and coffee. We got to the airport with no incidents and the same going back to the hotel. Chrebet ready to fall asleep Jenner: Go back to room, get ready for ride to airport. Stop at Dunkin Donuts. Comment on how big coffee cup sizes are. Fly to Buffalo. Drive home. Get lost. 2 Toll roads that we didn�t pass on the way up. Frantic to get American change. See sign to Canada. Drive home on no sleep. Not a good idea. Get home. Sleep. Look forward to the next gathering. :-) |
