| Chrebet: Gaming hightlights: Jack and I killed the emperor for the first time. Woohoo!!! Jinx and I play the fire fighters game and I got farther level wise with her as my partner than any one else! Woohoo!!! Next we�ll save the whole city! At 6pm EST I arranged a surprise call from Aleja to everyone. We passed the cell phone around. Pam, Bren, Jinx, Hawk, Chrebet Gumbie: We were hanging out at the bar - which is quite usual for us, you've got to admit - when I noticed a chair making funny noises. Apparently it was one of the games; you put credits in and it shocks you until you let go (something about testing your strength or stamina or something). Now of course this led to Jinx and Chre fight fire discussion about what the chair acutally did, and someone (either Jack or laura, I think) said it might vibrate. I don't quite know how this came out of my mouth, but I ended up blurting out, "well if it vibrates I'd pay for it!" lol! Bren: Gumbie and I decide to check out the mall that Dave and Busters is in, she wants to see Victoria�s Secret. Of course she finds something there and needs to see if it looks good under her clothes.... heading for the dressing room, I wait for her to decide. It seems she wants help in that department, so I go to help out.... passing a man waiting for his wife, I say �Excuse me, I need to check out her boobs�...... I can�t help it, it just came out!!!! Deciding on the one that looks best we head back to Dave and Busters as we are told we have to be there at 6 pm. And a surprise is waiting--we all get to use Chre�s phone to talk to Aleja (who we missed terribly) Jinx: Our group of 15 became 21 when hubby and his family and We once again beat the emperor! friends joined us. We finally get seated for the mystery dinner theater. Now that was an interesting experience. One of the actors even sat at our table (since we had lots of empty seats) and chatted with us for a bit. But the other table seemed to have all the fun! Observations by Hawk: It seems we have quite an actress (kind of) among us. So when Mindy becomes a big star, we select few can say we were there the day it all began! ;) How is it that even when I�m not involved in the mystery, I�m still the Liar? Jenner: Video games, mystery dinner. Male lead (Antonio) takes a liking to our table, especially Frankie and Chrebet. We solve the Jack and Chre take their turn to kill case and win gift certificates to D&B�s. Chrebet: And fun we did have! The actors seem to have a liking to Sorin as they interacted with her throughout the play. As for myself I couldn�t stop laughing **wink** Mindy on stage and have thus earned my nickname �Chuckles� from the only male in the troupe. As the play ends we FINALLY got tell everyone that we were a group of people who met over the internet! They didn�t believe us at first but afterwards everyone came to our tables to talk to us and find out about how and where we met! **beaming** The male actor stopped the table and we got to talking. Now Gumbie isn�t the only one who can get phone numbers **happy dance** But not that I�d call him or anything. **g** Bren: Now to the mystery theatre, it was great fun and we caused quite a commotion when they found out that we all met online. One of our tables actually won the prize--$10 gift certificates each for Dave and Busters� After the show we go back in to play some more games and start on the postcards, then off we head back to the hotel. Of course this can�t be the end of the night, we gather in Chre�s room and play charades..... and I must tell you that I am terrific at it (cough cough). Charades seems to be the game of this gathering. Bedtime was once again sometime the next morning. But not until we say good bye Sorin: The real star of the show! to Frankie (who we have decided belongs on this side of the Atlantic) hugs to everyone and she is off. Gumbie: I was originally going with laura, but as we were standing outside D&B, trying to work out the car pool, we realised that no one in Dave's car knew how to get back to the hotel! Now, it would have been logical to send Lasso, who knew the area, back with Dave. But were we that smart? NOOOOOOO! So I switched cars and became the navigator, a lonely Canadian lost in New York and New Jersey =P Now for all of those familiar with the Toronto story, I'm sure the thought of my navigating has filled you with great fear. But all I have to say is this - We got lost when the STOPPED listening to me! That's right! I, who have never been to the States before, was able to get us home! As we left the mall, I said, you're going the wrong way... we kept going that way until I pointed out that we had crossed the highway and were going the other way. Back to the mall, leaving the way I directed, onto the highway. Then I spotted the cutoff at Mahwah (what names they have there!) and we headed down towards Parsippany. We got a little lost at the end, because Jack wanted to take 80 to 46 instead of just taking 46... which does work but unfortunately isn't the way I knew =P. We got off eventually, realised we were I see...I see.... going the wrong way, and made it back to the hotel. next |
