Race Day number 1

Cool flamejob eh

In this pic you can see the set up for the safety chains which were required by the rules.most people just ran their bumper bolts thru a short length of chain.I used my chains to actually keep my bumper in place

Below are some pics of the cars set up.these were taken after the first race because I forgot to take them the first day.The only interior difference was the battery box from the first night just did not hold up

After the pics were taken she went to the bottom of the driveway and we hauled it the 15 or so miles to the derby. The GrandAM got thru inspection with no mods and the Aries K  had to take off its horn(it's always the little stuff). The minis that night consisted of 2, 20 car heats. The payout being %50 of the entrie fees to the winner and the 2nd and 3rd place getting 35% and 15%.The entry fee was $20 per night but that got you an entry and 2 pit passes that were $10 each for additionals. We ran the second heat and I got about 7 or 8 good track shots that really had the crowd cheering. The Aries was out early as somebody slammed his wheel while it was turned and broke the half shaft.I battled my way to about the 6th car left when I rammed the back of a Tempo and he went over the logs. When I went to back away I found I was stuck hard. The bulldozer had to lift me up and off but  I drove it off the track. On the plus side I had lots of car left for saturday. To see the after race 1 and before race 2 pics click HERE
