tarxien

A slender figure approaches you, sword drawn. She looks like she means business as she holds your gaze.
"I am Mnementh, guardian to the gateway of Tarxien. You do not know what that is? Well, I shall explain. Tarxien is an enchanted land, only accessible through this gateway. If I feel you mean no harm, I shall allow you passage. If not, you will turn around and leave, or feel the cold steel of my sword."
Her gaze softens as she can see her words have struck home. You stare in awe at this beautiful but formidable warrior before you. You bravely meet her gaze and with head held high, you ask permission to enter Tarxien.
She smiles softly and bids you pass through the gateway...

Just as you are about to go through the gateway, you hear a hiss coming from the shadows. You jump back, startled, as a very nasty looking dragon comes into view. His sharp teeth are bared, head low as he approaches you.

Mnementh calls out to you. "Don't be afraid. This is my Dark dragon, Aicram. He helps me take care of Tarxien. He won't harm you unless I say so."

She winks at you as your eyes grow wide. "Aicram, please stop scaring our guest. I have given permission for passage to Tarxien, so let the human go. Please, continue on your way. The various portals are indicated below, so just choose your destination. Have a safe journey and respect all who dwell within this land."
