Brain Injury Support Group Meeting
Wednesday, December 1,  2004
Thirty-two survivors, caregivers, and friends present

We began with introductions and giving a brief statement as to the circumstances that brought us to the meeting.  32 people attended making for a diverse group of survivors/caregivers who sustained injuries as a result of anoxia, stroke and TBI.

We met at 2990 Voyager Dr. in Green Bay instead of St. Vincent Hospital.  The decision to temporarily relocate was made for various reasons. Some of which were: easy access, closer parking, and more comfortable environment.

Members were made aware of a brochure and a website that are being constructed about our support group known as  Making New Connections."

We heard from a TBI survivor who suffered her injury 21 years ago, Her description of her journey from the accident to having a new baby recently was an inspiring story.

The "Break Out Session" where survivors/ caregivers divide into two groups allowing them to interact and privately express their concerns and challenges seemed to be beneficial for many.
