Scoutmaster Report

This upcoming meeting will be Merit Badge Night. We have 9 Scouts participating in the SCUBA high adventure and they meet on Mondays and Wednesdays.

The following meeting will be Elections and Campout Planning. After the Campout the meeting will be a TLC for the newly elected officers and Board of Review.

Camping

The March campout is planned and we will be at the campsite near Cannon Falls on the weekend of 3/19, 3/20, & 3/21. We are planning on a Rifle/Shotgun demonstration. Maybe rockets depending on weather. This is a sleep in cabins weekend.

The April campout will be 4/16-4/19. Place as yet not picked. We'd like to use a State Park. Send your suggestions to Ross or Jud.

The May campout will be 5/7 at Cleary Lake that will include the OA Call Out and Pig Roast on 5/8/04. Good times and Good weather!

HIGH ADVENTURES

Tim Anderson and Dave Kuplic are planning a Northern MN High Adventure at the cost of approximately $125. This adventure is geared for Scouts who are 15+ or Star Scouts. The Adventure is scheduled for the week of July 15-18 and the cost is estimated to be about $125 each. Adult leaders will be needed. Activities include mountain biking at Lutsen, rock climbing, sea kayaking, camping in the Boundary Waters----this trip will be about 4 nights in length. See Tim or Dave if interested.

MANY POINT…..mark the calendars. We are reserved there for the week of July 25-31.

Brule River trip. Traditionally this is the trip for 7-8th grades (age 13+). Planned for the week of June 10-13. Scouts MUST HAVE canoeing and swimming badges completed to participate.

Lou Heffernan noted that if the boys currently in the SCUBA adventure want to be certified for open water, he needed to schedule a date. He is looking at August 7 and 8 at a lake near the Cities where the boys could camp as well. The cost will be announced later.

TREASURER'S REPORT

The annual troop report was presented and the cost break down provided. See Andy if you weren't at the Parent Meeting and want a copy.
We had an update from the Finance sub-Committee which detailed how the money coming into the Troop was distributed. They are working on Policies and Procedures. See Dave Kulic, Steve Kirchner, Steve Carr, Kelan Werkmeister or Andy Christensen if you have input or suggestions.

Denise Daly has a report on the methods used to distribute the Wreath money. That report will be sent to all and thanks, Denise, for the write-up!
