The columns on the right identify which system towers carry radio traffic for each Talkgroup.   Refer to the Tower Frequency page for control channel data frequency information.   In all cases, the HOME system will provide optimum likelihood of reception.

H=Home, A= Affiliation Allowed, D=Affiliation Denied, Blank = No data (unlikely to hear this user)
101=MN Metro, 102=Anoka, 104=Carver, 109=Minneapolis, 201=Henn East, 202=Henn West, 203=Ramsey

Metro Transit  Homepage

Metro Transit runs almost 1000 buses on 132 routes in the metro area.  

Most buses now have Silent Witness surveillance cameras on board.  Metro Transit supervisors are dispatched to remove video tapes from the buses after incidents.  All buses can be tracked in real-time using an GPS AVL system.

Bus-to-dispatch communications are setup via their computer-aided-dispatch, using one of the 9 dedicated bus talkgroups.  There are no bus-to-bus communications.    In the event the CAD system goes offline, buses switch to the fallback channels.

The Metro Transit Police is made up mostly of off-duty police officers from around the metro area.  There are under a dozen fulltime officers, including a K9 unit.   Some officers will ride on-board buses, either in uniform or in plain clothes.  They also have squads cars.
