SONGS
The songs listed in this section are taken straight from Majora's Mask. While all of them have magical effects, you can also create your own songs that don't have magical effect (but may sound pleasing to the ear).
The following songs can be played on any instrument, but only the race specified can learn them from the start. If a character of a different race wants to learn the song, he must learn the song from a Level 3 player (it will take a few days) from the race that knows the song. All instrument players that want to use these songs must be at Level 2 or higher. If they start out at Level 2, they know the songs. If a Level 1 character advances to Level 2, he must learn the songs from another.
The race in bold is the race that knows the song. With strict regulations, a leader can keep songs the exclusive to their race, but this is exceedingly difficult.
SONGS
SONG OF HEALING --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A song played by many Terminians, the Song of Healing is used against the Ikana. When an undead creature hears the tune, their Evasiveness Score is changed by -2. This is not accumulative. The song is also fairly popular among the Terminians, and the Deku like it as well.
EPONA'S SONG ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Epona's Song is a song known by Terminian horse riders. When played, the horses of the owner will come to it, and will only stop if the path is blocked or if it seriously threatens its life. The notes travel quite far, so the horses can hear it for some distance. However, there are times when they will not come. For example, if a horse rider plays the song near Snowhead, a horse at Romani Ranch will not come. Likewise, if the horse is indoors it will not come.
SONG OF STORMS ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Ikana know this song, first created by the ancient composer Flat. When played, the song generates rain. This rain can put out fires (even mass fires), as well as speed the growth of crops. Another good use is to make muddy ground for battles. It will not cause rain everywhere, only near the player (if played on a wall before battle, the attackers would not encounter muddy ground until they were 2 turns away). The ran dries rather quickly.
ELEGY OF EMPTINESS -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Another song known by the Ikana, the Elegy of Emptiness is very helpful. When played, a clone is created of the character in the exact shape and form of the player when he played. This can be very useful. For example, if a character knows of an assassination attempt while he was asleep, he could create a clone of himself in bed, then hide. The clone may be shot with an arrow, and the assassins would think they suceeded
SONATA OF AWAKENING -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The only song that the Deku know, the Sonata of Awakening quickly wakes all of those nearby (including enemies). This is useful for waking a large number of troops for an urgent battle, which includes Gorons who would love to be able to wake those put to sleep by the Goron Lullaby.
GORON LULLABY ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Gorons also have songs they know, but the one with the magical effect is known as the Goron Lullaby. This song puts Gorons to sleep. Good if you have a person who can't sleep that needs rest, but bad if enemies use this during a battle. It is very important for Gorons to keep this melody to themselves.
NEW WAVE BOSSA NOVA ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- A tune popular among the Zora, the New Wave Bossa Nova calls upon a giant sea turtle to transport the Zora across the Great Bay. This is great for escaping a losing battle. However, it does take 1 turn to get on the turtle and another to get out of range (for the second, projectile smay be fired).
