FIRST designs accessible, innovative programs to build self-confidence, knowledge and life skills while motivating young people to pursue opportunities in science, technology and engineering.

In FIRST, teams are given a challenge that they will try and conquer by building a robot and traveling to areas to compete with other teams.  More than 600 teams currently compete in the competition from all around the USA.  This year's game is called "Zone Zeal."  To view a simulated version of the game online, visit the Resources page of the official website, look for "2002 Competition Simulator," and choose the version that fits best with your computer.
