Our registry has used a Simple Coding Method to ease your
search. If you believe you may have a match to your data
be sure to WRITE DOWN THE CODED ENTRY
before you continue to our "Match" form.

NOTE: Putting your data in code form before you search
will make it easier for you.

HERE'S HOW the code works:
Each entry is listed by this criteria; Adoptee's Gender,
Adoptee's Year of Birth - Month of Birth - Day of Month,
and State of Birth.
If a factor is "Unknown" it is replaced by an "X".

EXAMPLE: Male adoptee born 1955 on Nov. 28th in
New York would be coded as M (gender) 55 (year)
11 (month) 28 (day) NY (state) = M551128NY.
Had that adoptee's gender have been Unknown the
code would be X551128NY

EXAMPLE 2: A Zero, (0), is placed in front of Single Digit
months or days so a female adoptee born 1965 on May 1st
in an unknown state would be coded like this; F650501XX.
