How to Form a Union
1. Know your rights.
Check the Labor Laws in each State by clicking on the link to the left.
2. Talk to your co-workers. See how they feel about joining a union.
3. Find a union that will be the best for your group. Talk to people in area libraries that belong to unions. Get their opinions about the service they receive.
4. Once you have chosen a union, contact their organizing staff. They will have the details on the process to follow in your State and will guide you through the necessary steps.
