Labor Issues for Librarians in New England was started as a project for a course
at the Graduate School of Library and Information Sciences at the University of
Rhode Island. Laurie Cavanaugh is now an Adult Services Librarian at the Brockton Public Library
in Brockton, MA. Danielle Bowker is currently the Assistant Director at the Middleborough Public
Library in Middleborough, MA. They began the project as a vehicle to make public library staff members aware
of their rights under the labor laws in the six New England States.
