June 19th - June 25th
- Picnic:
A permission form to participate in a class picnic (along
with other Junior classes) on the last day of school will be going home
this week to be signed and returned. Volunteers will be needed. Students
should bring a lunch for the picnic but we are looking into providing
a treat (nut-free!) Students can bring water-bottles, outdoor games
and a dry shirt if its hot and they wish to go in the sprinkler. If
it is raining, we will be having our picnic in the classroom.
We will be returning by 2:30pm to take advantage of the year-end activities
in the yard that School Council has organized for us! Thank you!
- Clean-up: Our year-end clean-up day
will Monday, June 22nd. Please send a garbage bag to school with your
child if necessary. Students will be asked to bring home the contents
of their locker and their work for the year.
- Aboriginal/Heritage Dress Day: Bring
a loonie (1$, not 2$ as previously stated) on Tuesday and wear an outfit
that represents your culture or heritage or a culture or heritage that
you admire. Participation is not mandatory. Loonies will be collected
for Help Lesotho as students enter the school Tuesday, June
23rd. Students are responsible for their own costumes.
- Portfolios: Portfolios and work
files that contain work from the whole year are going home
Friday June 19th and do not need to be returned. They should contain
the following:
- Your child's French Reading comprehension book with 2 graded assignments
at least (unless they only handed it in for correction once- then one
graded assignment.) They can keep this at home.
- A pointillism art project (ungraded)
- A Matisse portrait drawing (ungraded)
- Drum (ungraded)
- Note: Final Math Tests will be going home Monday, June 22nd as they
are not yet ready!
- Report Cards - Report Cards will be
sent home Tuesday, June 23rd. They include a supply list for school
supplies next year and information as to who will be your child's teacher
next year, however the last thing is occasionally subject to change.
- Grade 7
- All Probability Part 2 quizzes will be sent home to share
with parents on Monday, June 22nd
