| Why do mortgagees want your home? This is a actual letter wrote to the City of Charlotte. I read David Ritterskamp's April 6th letter to the editor, "Stop bleeding the American worker". I agree with him. With all the foreclosures in both Charlotte and Gastonia, do mortgage companies want to take your home? For example, if a person gets laid off, Let's say in December and is out of work for 2-3 months, calls the mortgage company and explains the situation. Why would a representative of that company immediately suggest that one of your options is to sell your home? Come on, Let's be serious, that is not really an option. A big question that I have is why is it that when a home owner gets behind, later comes up with what they owe, and calls the mortgage company-the mortgage company refuses, yes, refuses to accept the money. To whose benefit is it to foreclose on a homeowner When they: 1. Have the funds to pay 2. Fell on hard time? 3. Want to pay???? Piccolla S. Harris |
