Creative Writing -- work on creating your own character
To write a good story authors need a good, convincing character.  Professional writers
work very hard to create believable characters.  Answer the following questions about
your imaginary character.  Then create a dialogue between your character and someone else.

   

1.  What is your character's name? Nickname?
2.  What is your character's age and birthday?
3.  Where was your character born?
4.  What does your character look like? Use your showing writing.
5.  Describe your character's home.  What does it look like inside and outside?
6.  How does our character get around?  What transportation does he/she have?
7.  Describe your character's bedroom.  Look inside his/her closet and describe it.
8.  What does your character have in his/her pocket or purse?
9.  What is your character's favorite kind of music?  Favorite singer?  Favorite song/album?
10. Describe your character's friends.  What kind of people are they?
11. Does your character have a boyfriend or girlfriend?  Describe the person.
12. What are you character's hobbies, sports, and interests
13. How does your character get money? Occupation?  Allowance?
14. What is the latest book or magazine your character read?
15. What is a secret about your character that nobody else knows?
16. What is your character's pet peeve?
17. What type of personality does your character have?
