October 21st took an hour off of work
to hit the store cause your album dropped. Went home to do my hair
found myself sitting there in the underwear cause you I bought.
And it’s your voice I hear that brings the tears I know will
never stop cause you remind me of all I lost, all I gave up.
For just one chance could you put the
past away. For just one chance, tell me that you’d stay. For
just one chance, nah he’d rather throw it all away. Now what
can I say? Was it worth it? I do not know, but I will go to one
more show. Was it worth it? Tell me no, so I can let you go.
Another early morning waking up to
your song on my CD player alarm clock. I went to hit the snooze
to keep dreaming of you, but you were mad at me I almost forgot.
Smart mouth drowning in a sea of sarcastic
words. Crazy you drive me into all these trees. You’ve heard.
Punctuation, puncture wounds, unanswered emails, answered soon.
Watch my spelling, close my eyes, cross my Ts and hope he tries.
Now what can he say? It was worth it.
I told you so. Aren’t you glad I went to one more show? It
was worth it. He told me so and he can’t let me go.
