Number of weeks remaining: Less than 9 weeks!!!

Can you believe it- Its the final countdown (sing it)!!  Yowza!  Mom and baby are doing well.

Here are the latest developments:
* Ive now ballooned a healthy 23 pounds and have grown into maternity clothes :-0  I weigh too much to sleep on my side b/c it causes my hip to scream in pain in the middle of the night. So Im now surrounded by pillows trying to sleep at a 30-degree angle.  Martin has approximately 12 inches left on the bed for his wonderful nights of sleep.
* My sciatica problem has improved significantly with physical therapy / massage.  Im functional and no longer mobilize as a quadrapod.
Baby Martin-i has been extremely active & definitely tells me when he doesnt like what Im eating.  Martin is thrilled with seeing him move & continues to be reassured that there is great potential for a future soccer star in the Klein Family.
* Girlfriends- note, this is something that no one told me about. Your feet will get larger.  Yep, I no longer fit into any of my shoes unless they are sandals.  Apparently most womens feet will grow to 1 full size during pregnancy and will remain that way post.  Look on the bright side- a new shoe wardrobe!!  As the Imelda Marcos of NY (so Martin says but I completely disagree on this point)- I cant wait to go shoe shopping!
* Although my energy level is still quite high- Im having difficulty moving at my usual NY walking pace without running short of breath.
* Never mind I said I would never do this when I got pregnant- Im now waddling like a duck.
* Many of you know Im usually always cold rather than hot.  But thats all changed. Im usually boiling and never cold.  Thank goodness the cool weather is on its way for the most challenging part of the pregnancy.
* Im proud to report, I managed to finish the baby afghan without loosing too much hair.

Well, these are just a few of the wonderful changes of motherhood.

Martin and I still havent moved into our new home its now supposed to happen by end of October- weve definitely learned to never have any great expectations of builders and contractors.  On the bright side- the babys room will be all painted & ready to welcome him.

After not having a car for almost 9 years, weve got wheels again!  So were now ready for the practice runs to the hospital in NY.

Martin and I are still playing the naming game.  Weve identified a couple of names thus far but are still willing to take suggestions.  The names must be pronounceable in English, German and French.

Martin-i is starting to accumulate a little wardrobe already- his Mom is having a very hard time not buying too many outfits because they are so cute!

Ive been preparing Martin for the big day.  Hes been encouraged to sit and watch medical reality TV- Labor and Delivery and Maternity Ward.  Im very proud to report - hes finally able to watch a whole episode with only 4-5 yelps of shock / disgust.  By the time November arrives, I fully anticipate he will be ready to deliver the baby himself!

Well thats all for now.  We hope you are well!
