For a daily devotional go to Crosswalk.com or to Annie's Devotionals Page. Oh, my, the variety there! Some examples: Joyce Meyers, Spurgeon, MacArthur, Burkett, Moody, Wiersby, Elisabeth Elliot, Billy Graham. My Utmost for His Highest, Quiet Walk, Back to the Bible, Campus Journal, Our Daily Bread, Guideposts. Devotionals especially for youths, pastors' wives, leaders, dieters, athletes, women, couples, and the list just goes on and on. As I read through the list I can't believe how many websites there are to help Christians in their daily walk. The devil uses the internet for bad, but God is greater!!! He is where you are! Seek and you will find!!!
Ok, this is a problem, but I did want to include this information. Evidently, Yahoo looks at the text on your geocities website and places ads for things that are related. Unfortunately, that means that some of the ads you see here may be endorsing Harry Potter (H_P_) when in fact I am vehemently opposed to it. However, until I have enough disposable income to have a 'real' website and pay for a host, I'm stuck with a free webhost such as Yahoo. So, please, PLEASE, KNOW THAT I DO NOT ENDORSE H_P_ IN SPITE OF THE ADS YAHOO PLACES HERE!!! Now, down to business... WONDERING ABOUT H_P_? Please read the short article at this link if you can (I don't think it works anymore, actually). It does not go into a lot of detail but certainly gives you a little bit of food for thought. Don't let social pressure from family, friends, school teachers, etc. convince you that it's harmless fantasy. There are other websites with information too. This one is from the U.K., believe it or not: http://observer.guardian.co.uk/uk_news/story/0,6903,587261,00.html Here are some more: http://www.rense.com/general16/teacherswarnofoccult.htm Omigosh, A MUST read: an article at exwitch.org and this about scholastic books. http://www.christiananswers.net/catalog/potter-vs.html "The H_P_ series portrays a lifestyle diametrically opposed to that of the Christian." There are a lot of other websites where the authors think H_P_ is just great, totally harmless. However, I don't think they are looking at it in the light of God's word or with spiritual eyes. Just do a google search--type in H_P_ Dangers. You will get quite a list of reading material. Some of it for and some against. (Note: you'll have to type in the whole words, not the abbreviation I used. I used the abbreviation hoping Yahoo would put less emphasis on that part of my webpage and therefore put fewer ads relating to that subject.)
WELCOME TO MY WEBSITE! Why am I here? I just felt like I had to share stuff and the internet provides a way to do that. First, I want to tell you about a website called Crosswalk. There are so many resources there that you can't even imagine it. For example: Bible in a Year They have the Bible all divided up into daily readings and you can read it in any version imaginable. I have been wanting to read "The Message" but can't afford to buy it--they have it! It's just such a blessing that you can find such good resources on the internet. I really am amazed. If you are a rubberstamper make sure you check out Biblical Impressions. If you're not a stamper, don't despair, I can fix that!
Heather's Far Corner The focus of this page is rubber stamping. My Cards I like to make cards using rubber stamps and sometimes people want to buy them. Sometimes I give or sell them for cost to those who send cards as a ministry. My Faves Some websites I enjoy. Barb's Bracelets My mom makes jewelry and sells quite a bit so be sure to check and see if there's anything that's right for you or as a gift for someone. Education Links More Education Links Homeschool Info Feelings Evaluation Worksheet Bible Quizzing Links: Free Methodist Quizzing youthquiz NIV text I have begun a quizzing ministry in our church this year. We have about seven kids involved, all at about the 6th-7th grade level. I believe God called me to this ministry, even though I often wonder if I'm at all capable. The kids involved are having fun and learning scripture, so even if I don't feel up to the job at times, I know it's worth it.
Please visit my other pages... you can get there from here.
I've had some problems with my pages loading right. I'm suspecting that if you close that yahoo ad box on the right before the page is completely loaded, it quits loading. Not only that, but things are overlapping that shouldn't.
