Play Structure Swings General
Students are to gain access to the structure by using the stairs, ladder, or west side of platform.

Students will NOT walk under the overhead (monkey) bars.

Students will leave the structure using the bars, poles, slides, or stairs.

There is no running or playing tag on the play structure!

Counting:

If someone is using the swing, count out loud to 25. A swing back and forth counts as ONE.  When you reach 25 the other student must stop swinging and get off.

You may not  count on the person who is using the swing you were on. You need to use a different swing each time.

All rules on the playground are designed to ensure the safety of all students:

Students will not run and/or play tag on the black top or asphalt area.

Students may not pass beyond the brick wall heading east or beyond the chain link fence heading south.

Students must stay visible to all adults on duty at all times, unless using the restroom.

SLIDES:

Swing only while sitting on your bottom.

RESTROOMS:

One person is to go down the slide at a time. No kicking shoes off while on the swing. Students may not hang out or stand around inside the restrooms or in the hallways.
A person waiting for the slide waits at the top until the other student is standing at the bottom. No standing in front of or behind the swings in the swing area. Students must use the restroom in the "wing" designated  for their grade level.
Students will slide on their bottom at all times. No jumping off swings while they are in motion. Students will respect the privacy of others while in the restroom.
Students will not crawl or walk up any slide. Avoid swinging too high. Students will not vandalize or destruct any property in the restroom.

BARS:

No stepping into the swing area unless there is a swing available.

ORGANIZED SPORT GAMES:

One person at a time my use the monkey bars. One person at a time is allowed on a swing. All games must be played by the standard rules set by the school.
A student waiting for the bars must wait at the beginning until the student ahead drops or exits at the end. All students must swing one way in the same direction. Students wishing to join a game must wait until the game being played is completed.

FIRE POLES:

No swinging sideways or twisting swings. There is no forfeiting.
One person at a time may use the fire poles. No flipping over the top bar. Dodgeball may only be played under teacher supervision.
A student waiting for the fire pole must wait at the top until the student ahead clears the bottom of the pole. No climbing on the swing structure.

TETHERBALL

  No running through the swings.

BASKETBALL

  No pushing and No tricks.

DODGEBALL
