Q: I use the program, how can I help out the development effort?
A: We have the program development well in hand, but there some other areas
where we might use some help:
- We get our figure statistics from Drake at MKRules.Net. If everyone would
update him with click data from new expansions, it would allow us to get the data quicker.
- If you have some artistic skills, we could still use some good graphics for about screens, link banners and such.
Q: Will you be supporting [name of future expansion here]?
A: Yes. We consider battleplanner (and HCAB) to still be a work in progress. At some point we may decide to no
longer update it, but until you hear from us, plan on new releases whenever WizKids releases
an expansion (2-3 week lag).
Q: When will you be releasing the next version of battleplanner (or HCAB)?
A: Good question. We have no real release schedule, this is a hobby after all. We will try to
update with new expansions within 2-3 weeks of the expansion's release. Other than that, we work
on battleplanner/HCAB whenever we get time away from our day jobs.
Q: How do I report a bug in battleplanner/HCAB?
A: Email any bugs to Shawn and Todd. We will look into any bug reports and fix errors as part
of our "usual" release schedule (see above).
Q: Can you release a patch to existing programs instead of making us donwload the full
program with each release?
A: Possibly. We are always looking to improve our programs. This shouldn't be as much of an issue
now that we've significantly reduced the download size of the program.
Q: My Knights Immortal figures are not showing up! What do I do?
A: Click the "Clear All Filters" button. Usually figures not showing up is a problem with
the filters for that particular view. If the problem persists, submit a bug report.
Q: Do you ever plan to port the program over to another operating system, like Linux?
A: No, Rick, we don't.
Q: Do you ever plan to release your source code?
A: Not anytime soon. We may release the code if at some point we decide not to continue
maintaining the program. It would need a lot of cleaning up at any rate before we would want
anyone to see it.
