Dear Graduates,
My warmest congratulations!
As you leave the portals of Letran with your diplomas tucked under your sleeves and eager to face the world of work, please do not forget the spirit of Deus, Patria, Letran. Hold it in your heart, for more than ever today, the primacy of Deus seems to have taken a back seat in the work ethics.
"So young and so currupt" seems to be the dictum as success is now measured in terms of money and more money. The sense of mortality, sadly, is gone. The Tradition of excellence that we have nurtured in you will mean nothing if you do not have the moral fibre. Do not taint the idealism you have imbibed in the Colegio.
On that note, it is with optimism that I send you outside the walls of Intramuros, armed with academic skills and armored with moral courage.
