| Our campsite was about 50 feet from the shores of Lake Fanny Hooe just southeast of Copper Harbor. I managed to catch the sunset light when it was just perfect for such a picture. |
Slide 15 - US-41N in the woods |

| And now you know why US-41 a few miles out of Copper Harbor gets such a good reputation. The beauty of this picture far exceeds what most atlas publishers put on their front covers. It may be narrow and winding, but it's worth it. |
Slide 16 - Brockway Mountain |

| Brockway Mountain is the highest place in the area, and if you look really, really hard, that is Isle Royale National Park in the distance. Unfortunately it was not a clear day so it's not entirely apparent, but Lake Superior makes up for whatever you can't see. |
Slide 17 - From an outlook |

| Here's all the civilization you'll find at the northernmost area of the Keweenaw Peninsula and Michigan in general. Copper Harbor is on the left, Lake Fanny Hooe is to the right with the campgrounds and resort directly in front of it. This is paradise. |
