The following are quilts I've made for friends' children.

This is the first panel I quilted for the first child of a friend in Belgium.

This is the first quilt that I pieced together, with my mom's guidance. I use outlined one of the bottom bunnies so the pattern would be easy to see.

Milkyway - Another quilt that I made for a co-worker's child. Again a little girl. I enjoyed playing with a variety of blue fabrics to produce the results you see. Some day I may make another one like this.

Ribbon Star Quilt - This is the second baby quilt I made from scratch. This was made for the second child of a girlfriend, whom I've known since I was a baby. I hand quilted this project.

The Ribbon Star quilt is a pattern I like. I redid the quilt, using the same blue flower fabric, but instead of white, I used the same yellow that is in the center of each blue flower. The yellow was too bright and the quilt is not as calming to look at as the white.

Arctic Stars Quilt - This quilt was made for a little girl born to a co-worker. She had twins, one boy and one girl. I made two similar quilts, using the same fabrics but completely different patterns. I currently don't have a photo of the other quilt, but once I have one, I'll add it to this page. I hand quilted both the quilts I made for the twins.

I enjoyed the appearance of the Arctic Stars quilt and found it hard to give away the quilt. I still had a lot of fabric left so I decided to make another one. While working on this second quilt, I learned that my friend in Belgium was having another baby, so I machine quilted it and shipped it away. One day I'll have to build a quilt with these fabrics and actually keep it!

Peak a Boo Bears - This was the second Peak a Boo Bears quilt that I made. I varied the colours of the bears, but am not sure that I should have put such light blue eyes on the darker bear.... it looks a little psycho. I made this quilt for another friend who had her first child, another little girl.

I machine quilted this quilt as well.

Butterflies and Bears - Another co-worker had her first child. A little girl. I enjoyed making my Peak-A-Boo Quilt but I did not want to re-make the exact same quilt. I saw another version of the Peak a Boo Bear quilt in another edition of Quiltmaker. A woman had made the quilt from the pattern in the magazine and she added a muzzle and whites around the eyes to the bears. I decided to try this.

I also enjoyed making the animals on my Noah's Arc Quilt. I returned to the 501 Quilt Blocks book and found some butterfly blocks. I slowly came up with this quilt by placing these different patterns together.

I machine quilted this quilt. I had not done a lot of machine quilting, so this was a great opportunity to practice.

Another quilt made for a co-worker. This quilt has pockets to hold small stuffed animals. I made one tiny bear to put into the center pocket.

This quilt is called Shoefly and is for a friend who had her second baby, another boy, in December 1999.

This quilt was made for a co-workers third child. I enjoyed this pattern, and have been working on a second version of this quilt. The top is sewn together, but I need to sandwich and quilt the project.
