This show car, done in race sponsor Players colors was on display in the downtown Metro station (photo taken from the escalator!)

Unfortunately, this was the final finishing order of the race, halted after a manhole cover was loosened and shot through the nose of a car.  There were a lot of unhappy spectators on the Metro after the race!

What a year for prototype sports cars!  Mercedes, Jaguars, Porsches, Toyotas, Nissans, Spices and more!
