Just a little site set up for my resume and related items.

As an experienced web editor and manager, I've learned to effectively blend content and functionality to produce successful online media. My editorial background has taught me how to identify the needs of an audience to deliver timely, vital information from a variety of sources. And, I'm comfortable working with business and technical experts, both internal and external, to ensure a polished, professional web presence.

Most recently, I served as content manager for a business-to-business web site targeted to the cable television industry. As such, I was responsible for balancing the needs of editorial and marketing with technical and budgetary constraints.

I updated the site with content daily, and edited and delivered an e-mail newsletter every afternoon. In addition, I routinely coded HTML pages while applying DHTML elements. I developed a system for converting Quark files for the web site, and often created and edited images including banner advertisements.

I'm familiar with most HTML editors, Photoshop, Quark, Acrobat and other tools that are involved in web production. I also have some knowledge of large, commercial content-management systems including Interwoven TeamSite and DoubleClick's DART system.
