My wife and I met in Schweinfurt, Germany back in December, 1999.  Her name then was Tanja Borgfeld, and she was the single mother of two beautiful children, Isabella and Marvin.  We met over the Internet (go figure!), and by June 2nd, 2000, we were married.  On October 2nd, 2000, our daughter Savannah was born, and we spent the next three years in Schweinfurt.  On February 18th, 2003, our daughter Cheyenne was born, and in October, courtesy of Uncle Sam, we left Schweinfurt for Fort Polk, Lousianna.  Tanja was born and raised in Hannover, Germany, and her mother Edith, brother Stephan, sister Tina, and sister-in-law Manuela live there still.  We were pretty close to my inlaws; we ended up staying with them for forty-five days (!) between leaving Germany and coming to Lousianna, thanks to the INS processing we had to go through to get Tanja and the kids into the US.  Since then, though, we really haven't heard much from them... Long distance relationships and all, I guess.  Back in 2003, I adopted both Isabella and Marvin through the German court system, so they're all mine now, and I dare say we're all fairly happy with the arrangement.

UPDATE! Well, 'expecting' went by a long time ago, and things went just fine there.  We now have a fifth child (our fourth girl, God help our son!), Melina Marie, and she'll be two years old on August 23rd.  Unfortunately, I don't have any photos handy on digits just now or I would've added those above.
