Figure 7 & 8: Between a Rock and a Hard Place...A little bit of Highway building never hurt anybody... unless if fails on you!! You can't really see it, but there's a pretty good drop-off to Lloyd's right and the boulder on his left. Plus we didn't know what was up ahead or where the trail went. We gave it a pretty good effort though. In picture 8, you can see the rocks we stacked to get past the boulder, but to no avail. As soon as Lloyd put his tire on it, it started to give way. We chose the "better part of valor" route and backed up. |
