MITRA was started as an entrepreneurial initiative by four alumni of the Institute of Rural Management (IRMA), Anand, India with an initial funding from ICICI, India's second largest financial house. Our strength lies in the varying backgrounds from which the members come - Agriculture, Engineering, Science and Humanities; and the value that binds them all - conviction to serve the sector, professionally. The team actively conducted a project commissioned by IRMA to establish upon the IT needs in the development sector and banks upon its findings to conjure mapping of the requirements to innovative solutions. The members also have a rich and varied experience of working in the Corporate, governmental, co-operative and Non-governmental set-up.The core team of MITRA consists of the following four members:

is an Engineer from Regional Engineering College Rourkela. He has previously worked in organizations like Mukand limited and GCMMF (AMUL). His areas of interest are technology, systems and project management.

is an Agriculture Graduate from the Assam Agricultural University and has worked with Centre for Environment Education (CEE) for a period of 3 years. He has also worked in an Indo-Dutch project with the Gujarat Water Supply & Sewerage Board. He brings to MITRA his expertise in strategy formulation, need assessment

is a Science graduate from Rohilkhand University. He has worked with GCMMF (AMUL) after passing out from IRMA. His areas of interest include finance, systems and technology management

is a Political Science graduate from Lady Shri Ram College (Delhi University) and has worked with the Gujarat Water Supply and Sewerage Board in a drinking water project. Her focus areas are monitoring & evaluation, communication, analysis and content management
